WORK...
Initially with the Commonwealth Government of Australia as a draughtsperson on projects such as the awarded bridge design for the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne then joined the Textile Design team at Selwyn Fabrics in Flinders Lane before establishing “Xersa Designs”. Study under Professor Gerhard Herbst at RMIT influenced the success of this studio. Herbst was art director of Prestige Limited in Australia from 1946 to 1956 before teaching, and his Biography is included in RMIT design archives and Sydney Powerhouse Museum collections. Xersa’s clientele included high end labels such as Prue Acton OBE, Watersun, Maglia, Palm Beach, Sunseeker, Charles Parsons, Australian Textile Printing and Courtier Products a division of Oakbridge Industries distributing internationally.
